The story of the back-to-back league titles in the 2013/14 & 2014/15 seasons

During the 2013/14 season the Vics sat bottom of the second division, the bottom tier of the west region. An appointment of a new manager was required to take them out of dark and dismal run of form the club had found themselves in for the previous few years. Up stepped former St. Roch's gaffer, Davie Greig.

Midway through the season his arrival changed the fortunes of the Vics almost instantly. Taking them from rock bottom to the very top of the division, gaining promotion and adding to the long list of the club's honours. In the third tier Greig's men did not halt their rampage again charging towards back-to-back league titles, sealing the accolade with a 2 - 0  victory at home to Vale of Clyde.

In the following season, the Vics struggled in the second tier, suffering from losing key players such as David Galt who went senior and ongoing injuries including captain Terry Hewitt. Davie Greig resigned from his role in December 2015. During his tenure, alongwith winning two league titles, Blantyre also reached three cup finals.
